Who We Are
We are the Sueños y Huellas del Mañana Foundation:
Transformation Project
Transformation Project
Sueños y Huellas was created on February 26, 2014 as a Colombian non-profit which aims to change the trajectories of children's and young women's lives through education, psychological support, and safe housing. Founders Lorena Vasquez and Yeinny Castro, inspired by their own childhoods, want to ensure that no child in Medellín goes without safety and opportunity.
We provide guidance in self-improvement skills, employment with a moral foundation and personal fulfillment for social welfare. It was legally registered before the National System of Family Welfare (Sistema Nacional de Bienestar Familiar) on July 31st, 2014 by Resolution n°2878. The Transformation Project is our volunteer experience division.
Our Mission
The Transformation Project aims to leverage tourism to unite foreigners looking to help with in-need members of our community. Our volunteers become treasured friends and allies who leave a lasting impact while enriching themselves through cultural discovery and genuine connections.
Our Vision
By 2025, we aim for The Transformation Project to be nationally and internationally recognized as one of the best social travel experiences in Colombia. We have a proven track record of improving the welfare and future prospects of our community members while enriching their lives and the lives of our volunteers.
